Social activity

1. Out social dynamic activities are undertaken by our bonafide members with an effort for implementation of social with a view to raise the standards of living and to bring about social, economic and cultural well-being of the individual, family and the group within a society irrespective of its stage of development.

2. To counsel the individual client to effect better social relationship and a social adjustment that makes it possible for him to lead a satisfying useful life.

3. To organise and guiding social agencies like “MAJHI” the village head and other local social organisation.

4. To solve general social problem and furthering social welfare objectives by social, health and economic progress.

5. Give social service to disadvantaged individual and groups, the sacks and the destitute of community.

6. Our service is to provide protective culture and (developmental services for children and youth and isolated group in need) for community integration.

7. To help the village to know the causes and to practise clean habits to prevent illness and early deaths.

8. To solve the difficulties, which arise in the life of the family out of (a) Lack of harmony between husband and wife or (b) out of emotional instability of either?

9. To advise or counsel to help in the problem arising out of economic problem caused by failure of good home management or problems in relation to children. Sometimes leading to neglect or cruelty, delinquency or their maladjustment.

10. To attempt to help in the solution of such problems by counselling in health, educational and adjustment questions to overcome disturbances to normal healthy family living. Counsel include advice on family, budgets and house management and on vocational opportunities by reference to employment services and occupational guidance, which often concerns with marital disturbances helping the couple to better mutual understanding and satisfaction and with the adjustment of difficulties, which have arisen between parents and children.

11. Association is always concerned towards changing the outlook of all village people.

12. Association works for the development of responsible and responsive village leadership and of village organisations and institutions.

13. Our work is always as preventive activities, as professional services available to every member of the community.

14. Our social work is to remove injustice, relieve distress to prevent suffering and assist the weaker member of the community.

15. To extend services for the unadjusted and maladjusted such as the unmarried mothers, the delinquents, the alcoholics, to prevent gambling and the criminals activities.

16. Our function is to provide, protect and promote social regulation within which the individual citizen can pursue this several notion of what makes for his happiness.

17. Mass awareness programme to train them for educational, social and moral value is being carried on. Such awareness programme is being conducted every year in a suitable chosen places.

18. Health education is very necessary for the Tribal still believe that witches and other evil spirits causes disease and take sometimes stringent measure as anti-social, inhumane like murdering the old witches (women).It is difficult to persuade them for medical treatment in preference to their tribal doctor (Ojha) and tribal priest. Association is bringing awareness among the tribals.

19. Tribals are being award against fear of the invisible world and superstition of witch craft.

Educational Activity

1. The Adibasi Socio-Educational and Cultural Association works for the promotion of Literature in Santali and its other sister language with medium of “OL CHIKI”.

2. The association conducts every year the examination in Santali language and large numbers of students passed out of it and they are encouraged to work for the development of Adibasi language. Hence on its parts of agenda works for the language and establishes educational institution for advancement of Adibasi language.

3. The Tribals of Odisha leg behind their non-tribal counterparts educationally. To catch up with the non-tribals, they need learning quickly as possible. Hence our association made ambitious project towards the educationally backward people to uplift their social standard. Ut-in-fra are objective to be executed as per grades.

4. Association gives growing emphasis on education as a process for strengthening the relationship of the members of the family, their mutual affection and cooperation.

Cultural Activity

1. In the world today, the existence of many culture, language and many religion within a single status has becomes a rule, rather than an experience. In addition to the dread existing traditional multi-culture, multi-ethnic and multi-lingual state, some socio-economic and political factors are at work to transform culture and mono-lingual state in the multi-cultural and multi lingual ones.

But when the living together of people, different culture, language and religion has become sin-quanon of the present world necessitating mutual love, understanding and respect among the different groups there exists mutual doubts and hatreds, negative attitudes, ethnocentrism, majority culture dominance, extreme form of group discrimination and identity, personal pride and self respect often resulting in ethnic conflict and communal riots

In order to prevent such untoward incident our Association is seriously attempting for mutual love, understanding among the people through deliberations, cultural show, theatre show and concerted efforts.

2. The tribal people are being trained to foster themselves a sense of love and pride in their language, culture and heritage. Hence every year a renowned person is awarded for his contribution in Adibasi Culture.

3. Tribals are being awarded of the present disease slowly encouraged by santal and tribal community as a whole. Present social system among the Adibasis are being encouraged and dowry diseases are being checked against the pollution of the Indian Culture.

4. To encourage and preserve art and culture of Adibasis.

Youth services

1. As a part of the youth services, the Association helps people to participate in the activities a group of their intellectual, emotional and physical growth and for the attainment of desirable goals of the group.

2. Association works to create and maintain progressively more effective adjustment between community resources and community welfare needs through the help of the professional social worker and through the participation of individual and group in community.

3. Youth needs guidance, advice and helps with regards to personality problems and situation in home and community life. Association stands by them.

4. Our objective is to help rural boys and girls to develop desirable values, ideals and standard for family life, community life, good citizenship and sense of responsible for their attainment as an ambition for a fuller and richer life.

5. Association mobilizes the forces of the community in the better way to achieve the social needs.

6. To help citizens in finding the ways best suited for the provision of the health welfare services for the improvement of the social environment and for prevention and aid of sufferings.

7. We encourage cooperative efforts of the population for the purpose of the community welfare. We also encourage for individual and group the channels of mutual understanding on problems of health and welfare and means of communication essential to social action.

8. It works for the development of the village people to become self reliant, responsive citizens capable and willing to participate effectively and with knowledge and understanding in the building of nation.

9. We train the village youths to assume citizenship responsibility through early and continuous involvement in youth programme and activities and all-round village development.

10. Besides all these socio-economic and socio-educational factor, they are being taught to encourage them in sports world to compete in national levels.

Economic Activity

          To organize assistance to village woman and village family in effectively converting their increased income into better living, GENERAL Government projects like creation of social forests and plantation programme are also being encouraged in tribal area by the Association.
